Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police Monitors Insulation on 2021 Ketupat Operation

Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police (Kapolda Sulsel), Police General Inspector Merdisyam accompanied by Deputy Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police (Wakapolda Sulsel), Police Brigadier General Halim Pagarra, Regional Monitoring Inspector (Irwasda) of South Sulawesi Police Grand Commissioner Andi Fairan, along with the head of the division of public affairs South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Grand Commisioner E. Zulpan and leading officials of other South Sulawesi Regional Police have conducted monitoring and insulation on 2021 Ketupat Operation in South Sulawesi Regional Police jurisdiction, Monday (10 May 2021). On this occasion, Kapolda Sulsel along with the head of PT Jasa Raharja of South Sulawesi, Ifriyantono visited the security posts (known as Pos Pam) that have been prepared in several places such as the Pos Pam Ops Ketupat Bontoa of Maros resort police, Pos Pam Ops Ketupat 2021 of Kalibone police and Pos Pam ops at BTP Gate and Pos Pam at Panakukang Mall Makassar Metropolitan Police, Pospam of Mall Ratu Indah at Ratulangi Street Makassar and Pospam at Soekarno Hatta port. During his visit, the Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police appealed to the Indonesian National Police, Indonesian Military, Department of Transportation, Municipal Police (Satpol PP), firefighters and other government organizations the insulation according to the procedures correctly. If there are any homecomers, do not hesitate to take action and direct them to turn over. “In this year, the guard at the post will be tightened, placed at every border, concerning that we are in the middle of Covid 19 pandemic. Government has banned homecoming this year,” as mentioned by Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police. He also mentioned that the readiness of his personnel run quite effectively since the implementation of insulation of homecoming ban on 2021 Ketupat Operation. Further, the Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police emphasized the guard personnel to stay alert in carrying out their duty and prioritizing safety and ensuring the comfort of society. They have to follow health protocol and emphasize the humanist approach. The chief also emphasizes that the guard personnel need to explain the dangers of homecoming during the pandemic. Meanwhile, in his explanation, the head of South Sulawesi Regional Police Public Affairs, Police Grand Commissioner E. Zulpan mentioned that the Service and Security Post was established to help people who would conduct activities to celebrate Eid during these pandemics “The Government prohibit any homecoming during Eid, and we must obey it for our safety. We should know that the risk of COVID 19 remains high, and to prevent it is to limit our mobility. Particularly, in the meantime, health protocol must be obeyed and obeying the government rule on the prohibition of homecoming,” as he mentioned.
