inp.polri.go.id – Palembang. As the effort to improve human resources through education and care towards national defence conducted by National Police, Bukit Asam Ltd distributes higher education aids for the children of Police personnel in South Sumatra province on Sunday (19/12/2021).
The higher education support programme for Police personnel's children is part of the education programme of the State-owned Enterprises (BUMN) Ministry conducted across the country. There are 33 BUMN that are united in this programme, and 876 people are allocated to receive the scholarship.
In his opening statement, CSR Senior Manager of Bukit Asam Ltd (PTBA), Hartono, stated that this scholarship is the company's effort to improve human resources through the educational field. The scholarship is the care form of national defence efforts conducted by the National Police. Therefore, PTBA provides higher education support for the Police personnel children in South Sumatra by giving education savings of Rp5 million each for 21 people.
Besides, the Chief of South Sumatra Regional Police thanked the PTBA for their participation in providing aids to the Police personnel children in South Sumatra to support their pursuit of higher education. He hoped that this education aid could push and motivate children of Police personnel to be more in the spirit in pursuing their ambitions. He then hopes that scholarship awardees could be creative, innovative, persistent, and well-competing young generations in the digital and globalisation era.
