inp.polri.go.id - Puncak Jaya. A civilian named Satu'in (51) was the victim of violence using a sharp weapon perpetrated by unknown persons (OTK). The incident occurred on Thursday (7/31/2025) at around 12:30 p.m. on Pasar Lama road in Mulia City heading towards Dokome Village, Yamo District.

The Head of Damai Cartenz Operation, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, stated that the victim is currently undergoing intensive care at Mulia Regional Hospital. The victim sustained serious injuries from the attack using a sharp weapon to his left arm.

He explained that the incident began when the victim was taking a female passenger from Pasar Lama road in Mulia City to Dokome Village. During the trip, the victim suddenly saw two unknown persons riding a blue MX King motorcycle following behind.

After passing PT NIKITA, the victim continued on to Unduh Village. While en route, the two unknown persons stopped the victim and immediately assaulted him with a sharp weapon (a machete) on his left arm.

The victim fell, and the perpetrators took the motorcycle and the passenger by force. They then fled towards Purbalo Village.

"After the perpetrator left with the victim's motorcycle, the victim called his motorcycle taxi friend in Mulia City for help," he said on Thursday (July 31, 2025).

Four of his friends then, he said, immediately went to help the victim and took him to Mulia Regional Hospital for medical treatment.

The Head of Public Relations for Damai Cartenz Operation, Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo, urged the public to remain calm and entrust the handling of this situation to security forces. 

The task force is currently conducting sweeps and investigations into the involvement of armed criminal groups (KKB) near the scene to identify the perpetrators and ensure public order remains safe and under control.
