Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian climber Desak Made Rita Kusuma claimed a gold medal in the women’s Single Speed 4 event at the World Games 2025 in Chengdu, China, on Friday (15/8/2025), clocking 6.35 seconds in the final at Tianfu Park.
In the same final, Indonesian climber Rajiah Sallsabillah also contributed a bronze medal with 6.951 seconds, while China’s Yu Mei Qin secured silver at 6.42 seconds, according to antarnaews.com.
Indonesia continued its strong showing as Kiromal Katibin secured silver in the men’s Single Speed 4, finishing in 4.81 seconds, narrowly behind China’s Jian Guo Long at 4.74 seconds. Kazakhstan’s Rishat Khaibullin took bronze with 4.83 seconds.
Desak’s consistent speed secured her victory, matching her 6.35-second semifinal run. Meanwhile, China’s top contender Ya Fei Zhou, who clocked 6.32 seconds in qualifying, failed to advance after falling in the semifinals.
With three more medals, Indonesia climbed from 20th to 17th in the standings, now holding 4 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze.
