inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto supports ASEAN's efforts to become the center of world economic growth. The support was shown by him at the 44th ASEAN Summit forum in Vientiane, Laos, on Wednesday (10/9/2024).

The Coordinating Minister Hadi explained that the support was given to encourage ASEAN's ideals as conveyed by the Vice President of Indonesia and Head of the Indonesian Delegation, Ma'ruf Amin. Countries in the ASEAN region must grow into a big family to face developments in the world's political and economic situation.

The former Indonesian National Military Commander has also planned various steps to support ASEAN's ideals as described by VP Ma'ruf Amin, one of which is to strengthen coordination between ministries and institutions to advance Indonesia in various fields.

"Strengthen coordination, synchronization, and joint control of related ministries/agencies to encourage the implementation and mainstreaming of ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP)," said the Coordinating Minister Hadi, in a press release on Wednesday (10/9/2024).

With these efforts, he believes that Indonesia will become one of the countries leading the charge in making ASEAN to become the center for world economic growth.

ASEAN must remain relevant to the times in order to achieve its ideals of becoming the center of the world economy. ASEAN needs to unite by maintaining regional stability through mainstreaming the ASEAN Outlook on Indo-Pacific (AOIP).
