inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, stated that hoteliers are welcomed to collaborate to support the development of creative economy businesses.
"We want to partner with hotels that are members of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI). This will serve as a sandbox for creative economy players," she said, as reported by RRI on Thursday (10/23/2025).
She also expressed her hope that business owners within the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) would provide space to introduce local creative works to the wider public.
"We are ready to help curate products and showcase the best works from various regions to further highlight the strength of Indonesia's creative economy," she said.
She further explained that many works by Indonesian creative entrepreneurs have received international recognition but are not yet widely known domestically. She cited the example of domestically produced board games and video games that have won international awards, but their market share is still below five percent in the domestic market.
Therefore, the Ministry of Creative Economy is establishing collaborations with various parties to promote domestically produced creative products to consumers.
The Ministry of Creative Economy has, among other things, established a partnership with the management of the Ashley Hotel. The agreement between the two parties was marked by the opening of the Pasar Seni Bermain (Playing Art Market) in Jakarta on Wednesday (October 22nd).
The collaboration includes providing five child-friendly PlayStation 5 games created by local developers for hotel guests and holding the Pasar Seni Bermain (Playing Art Market) from October 22nd to 24th, 2025.
This event features more than 20 local IPs across the sub-sectors of games, fine arts, culinary arts, fashion, and crafts.
