Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Culture on Sunday (14/12/2025) launched a ten-volume national history book in Jakarta to strengthen Indonesia’s collective memory and identity through a Nusantara-centered perspective. 

The book, titled Sejarah Indonesia: Dinamika Kebangsaan dalam Arus Global, was introduced by Minister of Culture Fadli Zon and compiled by 123 historians from 34 universities to present Indonesia’s historical journey from early civilizations to democratic consolidation in 2024.

“This book is part of the state’s effort to preserve our collective memory through a comprehensive Nusantara perspective,” he said during the launch.

The publication explains Indonesia’s interactions with global civilizations, colonialism, independence, and state-building, while remaining open to academic debate. Minister Fadli claimed that his ministry facilitated the process without intervening in scholarly content, positioning the book as a key reference rather than a single narrative.

He added that the launch supported constitutional mandates on cultural development and marks preparations toward Indonesia’s 80th Independence anniversary.
