inp.polri.go.id - Yahukimo. The joint team of the Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force together with the police and military continues their effort in handling the XVI Yahukimo Armed Criminal Group led by Kopitua Heluka.

In the latest joint security team operation, they managed to evacuate Yohanes Bouk alias Nando, a miner, after trying to escape from the attack of the Armed Criminal Group. In his hiding place, he stayed for five days without food and drink and he also suffered from mixed malaria.

Other than rescuing Yohanes, the joint security team also managed to evacuate three remains of other workers. The three are Mareselino Lumare (32), Yunus Agama (29), and Roberto Agama (37).

All bodies were taken to Dekai Regional Hospital at 02.30 WIT Thursday (2/10/2025) for further medical treatment, while the survivors also immediately received intensive care.

Furthermore, the joint team also succeeded in evacuating two other bodies that were previously reported dead at the Kali I Excavator Camp, Seradala District. The two of them are Andika Pratama and Amiman.

Head of the Damai Cartenz Operations, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani emphasized that his party would relentlessly hunt down the Armed Criminal Group.

“We will pursue and arrest the criminals to bring them to justice for their crimes. Law enforcement will be carried out appropriately and in accordance with the law. Security stability in Yahukimo is our top priority,” says Faizal.
