Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Damai Cartenz Task Force conducted integrated foot patrols alongside security monitoring for Sunday Christian services in the Sinak District of Puncak Regency, Central Papua, on Sunday (14/6/2026). 

The tactical operation, which commenced at 9.30 am local time, was designed to maintain public order while ensuring local congregations could worship safely and peacefully.

"Every citizen has the right to practice their worship peacefully and solemnly," said the Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Inspector General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani. "Our personnel's presence among the community is a form of the police force's commitment to ensuring security is maintained while providing comfort to all congregants."

The field personnel navigated key public hubs, including the Sinak District Market, before stationing themselves around local churches to prevent potential security disruptions. Alongside static security measures, the task force engaged in humanistic, dialogic interactions with market traders and churchgoers to build trust and assess localized community safety needs.

The Damai Cartenz Task Force Deputy Head,  Senior Superintendent Adarma Sinaga, reiterated that these community-oriented patrols serve a dual purpose of neutralizing regional threats and reinforcing the institutional bond between security forces and indigenous Papuan communities. The specialized task force continues to prioritize grass-roots public service to support sustainable regional stability and prosperity.
