Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian sovereign wealth fund Danantara has raised Rp50 trillion through its first-ever patriot bonds to fund renewable energy and Waste-to-Energy (WtE) projects across the country.

The bonds were issued in two series with five- and seven-year tenors, offering a two percent yield.

“Yes, the funds have reached Rp 50 trillion, focusing on Waste-to-Energy and other renewable energy projects,” said Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani during the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum 2025 coordination meeting on Wednesday (1/10/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

The capital will initially support WtE initiatives, recently launched by Danantara, with tender processes expected to start by the end of October. Patriot bonds provide a stable medium- to long-term financing source while offering investors a safe, impactful investment instrument.

President Prabowo Subianto praised the bonds as a strategic tool to finance national development programs, including 33 planned WtE power plants across Indonesia. The model follows international examples from Japan and the United States, enhancing national financial independence while promoting sustainable energy growth.
