Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Head of the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) Eddy Hartono  stressed on Wednesday (8/1/2025) the importance of inter-agency cooperation and strong coordination within BNPT and other related institutions to address future terrorism threats.

The pair met to discuss strategies for enhancing counter-terrorism prevention and deradicalization programs.

"Inter-agency cooperation is essential for safeguarding national sovereignty, as these complex challenges require an integrated approach from all stakeholders," said Minister Sjafrie, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Eddy highlighted BNPT’s ongoing initiatives, including training for civil servant candidates (CPNS) and youth peace ambassador programs, aimed at strengthening Pancasila in schools.

Minister Sjafrie also emphasized the need for closer collaboration between the Ministry of Defense and BNPT to prevent radical ideologies, hoping that BNPT would expand its global network and continue strengthening counter-terrorism strategies internationally.
