inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that public participation in selecting the logo for the 81st Indonesia's Independence Day embodies the spirit of democracy, mutual cooperation, and a sense of ownership of national symbols.
"The selection of the logo for the 881st Indonesia's Independence Day serves as a platform for the public to participate in the celebration of independence. This involvement reflects the spirit of democracy, mutual cooperation, and a sense of ownership of our national symbols," said the Minister of State Secretary on Thursday (6/25/2026).
He explained that public involvement ensures that the public is not merely a beholder of the final product, but also contributes to determining a visual identity that represents the spirit of celebration of Indonesia's independence.
Prasetyo added that every voice and input from the public is crucial in selecting the design that best reflects Indonesia's ideals, optimism, and spirit of unity.
"The commemoration of Indonesia's Independence Day belongs to all Indonesian people. Therefore, we are involving various elements of society, from schoolchildren, students, creative communities, to the general public, so that the logo selection process becomes a space for national collaboration that strengthens nationalism and love for the homeland," he explained.
Prasetyo hopes that the selected logo for the 81st Indonesian Independence Day will not only serve as a visual identity, but also a symbol of unity and a reminder that Indonesia's independence was built, fought for, and maintained by all Indonesian people.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto instructed Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya and Deputy Minister of State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro to involve the public in determining the official logo for the 81st Indonesian Independence Day.
The government then launched the official logo selection page, which displays the five best designs selected and curated by the Ministry of Creative Economy and the Indonesian Graphic Design Association (ADGI).
