inp.polri.go.id. - Papuans. The joint team of Detachment 88 and the Papuan Regional Police are trying to dismantle the terrorist network. The investigation is still ongoing. The Papuan Regional Police Chief stated that it is possible that apart from Merauke, there is also Papua currently; as many as 11 suspected terrorists have been detained in Merauke.   In addition to securing 11 suspected terrorists, according to him, two toddlers who are children of the couple AP and IK (AP's wife) were also secured. "It is suspected that terrorists have pledged allegiance in Merauke, and it is suspected that they were involved in the suicide bombing in Makassar in early January," explained the Papuan Regional Police Chief.   The Papuan Regional Police Chief also said the extent of their involvement in the action was still under investigation. The group belonging to the Ansharut Daulah Papua congregation was secured on Friday (05/28). From the reports obtained, there were five cases of attempted bomb terrors carried out by the group around Merauke, but none of them exploded. The initials of the suspected terrorists, namely AK, SB, ZR, UAT, DS, SD, WS, YK, AP, and IK (female wife of AP), and SR. The 11 terrorists were immediately taken to Jayapura for further investigation before being sent to Jakarta.
