Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto said Indonesia’s disaster response budget is fully secured after the government implemented strict efficiency measures across ministries and agencies, saving hundreds of trillions of rupiah in state spending.
“The funds are available because from the very start we cut waste and saved hundreds of trillions of rupiah,” he said during a plenary cabinet meeting at the State Palace on Monday (15/12/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
He explained that the policy ensures rapid disaster handling nationwide without disrupting fiscal stability. As an immediate measure, the President ordered the transfer of Rp 20 billion in tactical operational funds to each affected governor and Rp4 billion to every affected regent or mayor across 52 regions. The funds were disbursed within three days and allocated outside the main recovery budget.
The directive aims to accelerate emergency response, logistics, and coordination at the local level, while reinforcing public confidence in the state’s disaster preparedness and budget discipline.
