inp.polri.go.id – The Directorate of Water and Air Police (Ditpolairud) of the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng) continues to do patrols and other activities to accelerate the prevention of tidal flooding in the Tanjung Emas Port Area, Semarang.
Ditpolairud personnel have been patrolling since Saturday (28/5/22) night until Sunday (29/5/22) and the team explored a number of areas around the port and checked water pumps to speed up the receding of the area.
The Director of Ditpolairud (Dirpolairud) of Polda Jateng, Commissioner Hariadi, S.H., S.I.K., M.H., said several areas had completely receded, but some areas were still inundated.
"The receded areas are along the Post 4 street to the Tanjung Emas port passenger pier, and along the road in front of the KPTE to the navigation office," said Dirpolairud Polda Jateng, Sunday (29/5/22).
However, in some places, such as the road towards the Lamicitra area, there is still a 20 cm flood and the water pumping processs is still ongoing.
"There are still 40 to 50 cm puddles of water in the PT lamicitra area. Then at the Nusantara pier there are still 10 cm puddles,” he continued.
To speed up the receding of the water, pumping is still being carried out," continued Dirpolairud Polda Jateng.
Dirpolairud Polda Jateng stated, apart from conducting patrols, his party is also actively assisting the repair of the embankment.
"We are optimizing our personnel, the SAR team, and the standby team to help with sand rafting and strengthening the embankments," explained Dirpolairud Polda Jateng.
