To track the flow of funds in and out of the Khilafatul Muslimin cash, the National Police (Polri) cooperated with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to trace the flow of funds belonging to the Khilafatul Muslimin. Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI H. Ahmad Sahroni, S.E., M.I.Kom., appreciated the cooperation between Polri and PPATK in tracking the flow of funds from the Khilafatul Muslimin organization at home and abroad. "I really appreciate the proactive steps from the Police to continue to cooperate with other state institutions to investigate this act of terrorism to its roots," said Sahroni in a statement in Jakarta, Monday (13/06/22). He assessed that synergistic cooperation between the two institutions was very necessary because of the increasingly sophisticated acts of terrorism in Indonesia. According to him, the advancement of technology in this era have made it possible for illegal transactions between countries, and it is very dangerous. "Therefore, the synergy between Polri and PPATK is very necessary. So, although the terrorists are sophisticated, the police and PPATK are more sophisticated," he said. The Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI hopes that the excellent synergy between the two institutions can continue its efforts in revealing other alleged acts of terrorism. "So we can find out much earlier if there is a suspicious flow of funds to a certain organizations," he explained. Moreover, PPATK can immediately detect individuals with suspicious financial transactions.
