Inp.polri.go.id - Samarinda. Disaster Response Team officers from Battalion B PIoneer of the East Kalimantan Regional Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Unit responded quickly to a residential fire in Rawa Indah, Palaran District, Samarinda City.
Led by Assistant Second Inspector M. Zen Mahmudi, the four-person team arrived shortly after flames broke out at 11.10 pm local time on Sunday (16/8/2026). Brimob officers coordinated directly with local fire departments to secure the perimeter and accelerate firefighting efforts, fully extinguishing the blaze by 1.20 am on Monday morning.
"Our Battalion B Pioneer Disaster Response Team remains on standby to deliver rapid assistance during emergencies," said East Kalimantan Brimob Commander Senior Superintendent Ronny Suseno. "Officers presence on the ground reflects our commitment to providing protection and security."
The fire damaged two residential houses, with no fatalities or injuries reported. Police investigators are currently conducting an inquiry to determine the cause of the incident
