Ahead stages of Elections in the upcoming year, ranks of East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police are prohibited from getting involved with practical political and has to focus on their main duty which are providing security for the people. This was stated by East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Johanis Asadoma in Kupang. “According to the law, Indonesian Military Force and Indonesian National Police Law has to be neutral during the 2024 elections. The ones who has the rights are their family members, but for national security members are heavily required to stay neutral,” says the police chief quoted from RRI on Monday (10/30/2023). Inspector General Johanis Asadoma also implores all communities to jointly maintain public security during 2024 General Elections in their respective regions. (ad/bg/pr/nm)
