inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Head of the Education Standards, Curriculum, and Assessment Agency, Anindito Aditomo, said that financial literacy education in schools is the responsibility of all.

In the launch of the Financial Literacy Education Guidelines with the title of “Moving Together for Financial Literacy Education in the Independent Curriculum”, he hopes that all policy makers will also make real contributions to improving students' abilities in this regard.

“Many have access to financial services, but the knowledge, skills, and attitude in managing their funds is still very low,” says Anindito on Tuesday (10/22/2024).

According to him, financial literacy is very important to be implemented for students from an early age. This will certainly make students understand how to manage their money well, avoid mistakes, and develop healthy habits in using their money in the future.

"If we want children to be financially independent in the future, then we have no choice but to understand financial literacy. Because this is their provision," he explained.

According to him, low financial literacy not only harms oneself but also its surroundings. Because, he continued, it could lead to bad financial decisions which damages oneself, and possibly their families or loved ones.

"For example, someone who has low financial literacy will tend to get caught up in debt. That could be detrimental to their family," he concluded.
