inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Food Agency (Bapanas) says Bulog has quality requirements when gathering rice from local farmers in various regions. The two requirements are the water content and the dirt or void content in the rice.

“There is a quality standard that must be maintained when farmers are about to sell their harvest to Bulog,” says Director of Food Supply and Price Stabilization of Bapanas, Maino Dwi Hartono, as reported by RRI on Thursday (1/16/2025).

Maino said Harvested Dry Paddy (GKP) and Milled Dry Paddy (GKG) must meet the specified water content. In addition, the level of dirt or voids must not exceed the standard limit.

These quality requirements aim to maintain the quality of the rice produced. This step also supports the stability of food supply and prices at the national level.

Farmers are advised to pay attention to the quality of the rice before selling it to Bulog. This is important to ensure that the harvest meets applicable standards.

It is known that the Government has officially increased the Government Purchase Price (HPP) for farmers' rice starting January 15th, 2025. The HPP for farmers' rice for dry harvested rice at the farmer level has increased to IDR 6,500/kilogram from IDR 6,000.
