In a Talk Show and Interactive Dialogue of 'Education and Literacy for Women in Efforts to Prevent Violence in the Digital Realm' held at the RRI Auditorium, actress and founder of the Suara Hati Perempuan Foundation, Nova Eliza, shared her story about her struggle against violence against women.
In her statement, she said, the biggest victims of violence are women, and she is determined to dedicate her life to the lives of women.
"I am determined to dedicate my life to ensuring that Indonesian women no longer experience violence or harassment," she said on Monday (11/25/2024).
Starting from her experience witnessing the conflict in Aceh during the military operation, she was called to make a change. In 2015, she founded the Suara Hati Perempuan Foundation which focuses on increasing public awareness through creative campaigns.
Nova Eliza, said that now more than 150 public figures have joined this campaign, which also involves men, as partners in fighting for equality and eradicating violence.
"We want to ensure that women throughout Indonesia, even in remote areas, have space to express themselves and share their experiences. This is an important step in dealing with violence, including that which occurs in the digital realm," she explained.
