Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Finance has issued a regulation granting a 100 percent government-borne value-added tax (VAT) incentive for eligible home purchases throughout 2026, aiming to boost property demand and household spending.
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa said the incentive covers “100 percent of the VAT payable on the selling price portion up to Rp 2 billion for landed houses or apartment units priced at a maximum of Rp 5 billion.”
The policy is stipulated in Finance Minister Regulation (PMK) No. 90/2025, signed on 18 December 2025, effective from 1 January 2026. It applies nationwide to landed houses and apartment units delivered between January and December 2026, according to antaranews.com
The incentive continues earlier housing stimulus measures introduced since 2023 and forms part of the government’s 2025–2026 Economic Policy Package. Buyers who previously used the incentive may still apply it for another purchase in 2026, while canceled pre-2026 transactions are excluded.
