Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. After disbursing a second-quarter 2025 stimulus package, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati confirmed plans are underway to prepare another stimulus ahead of the 2025 Christmas and New Year holidays.
“We are currently formulating the year-end stimulus package together with the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs and other relevant ministries,” she said during a Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) press conference on Tuesday (29/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Earlier this year, the government rolled out two economic stimulus packages. The first, distributed in January–February 2025, was valued at Rp 33 trillion and included electricity discounts, Value Added Tax (VAT) subsidies on home purchases, job loss insurance incentives, extended final income tax relief for micro, small and medium enterprises, and subsidies for labor-intensive industries and electric vehicles
The second-quarter package, worth Rp 24.4 trillion (Rp 23.6 trillion from the state budget and Rp900 billion from non-budgetary sources), featured discounted transport fares such as VAT exemptions for economy-class airline tickets, 30% off train fares, and 50% off sea transport tickets, expanded social assistance, wage subsidies for 17 million workers and 565 teachers, toll discounts, and continued workplace accident insurance subsidies.
As of June 2025, Rp 13.6 trillion of the Q2 package had been realized. The remainder is expected to be finalized by the end of July.
