First Day of Patuh Jaya Operation Has Caught 1,920 Violators of Traffic Law

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Police revealed the results on the first day of Operation Patuh Jaya 2025, thousands of traffic violators were caught in a joint raid conducted by Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Directorate.

Vice Director of Traffic for Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police, Superintendent Argo Wiyono, explained that the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) ticketing system recorded 1,920 violations in one day. Furthermore, 1,583 drivers were only given warnings on the spot.

"The total number of ETLE ticketing cases on the first day was 1,920, while warnings were issued 1,583," he said in a statement on Tuesday (7/15/2025).

Based on the recapitulation data, he said, the most violations recorded are motorcyclists failing to wear SNI-compliant helmets, with 982 cases, followed by violations of driving against the flow of traffic with 190 cases.

Meanwhile, the most common violation by car drivers was not wearing seatbelts, with 474 cases. In addition, there were four cases of people using their cell phones while driving.

"For areas not yet covered by ETLE, enforcement is still being carried out manually. On the first day, 69 manual ticketing cases were recorded," explained AKBP Argo.
