The Head of Public Relations for the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, stated that the incident occurred on Setia II street, Jatiwaringin Village, Pondok Gede District, on Wednesday (2/4/2026). He stated that police had conducted initial investigations at the scene.

"Yes, a deceased man has been found in the Pondok Gede area. Officers have inspected the crime scene and processed the crime scene," he said on Friday (2/6/2026).

He stated that the victim's body was taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for a post-mortem and autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Investigators have interviewed several witnesses.
