Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. Puncak Jaya Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent Ahmad Fauzan led an in-absentia ceremony dismissing five officers for desertion on Wednesday (July 23).
The officers, identified as Senior Brigadier B HY, Brigadier SM, Brigadier NR, First Brigadier AM, and Second Brigadier JDI, were discharged for abandoning duty without notice, violating internal discipline and the Police Code of Conduct.
"This is a firm example of sanctions imposed on officers whose misconduct has harmed the integrity and reputation of the police force," Chief Fauzan said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining professionalism and ethical behavior within the community and while on duty. The police, he added, remain under public scrutiny and must uphold public trust.
The dismissal ceremony was held at the Puncak Jaya Police Headquarters in Mulia, Papua.
