President Prabowo Subianto stressed the importance of achieving food and energy self-sufficiency as fundamental pillars of Indonesia's national sovereignty during the National Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbangnas) at the Ministry of National Development Planning on Monday (30/12/2024).

He highlighted that ensuring Indonesia's self-sufficiency in these sectors is crucial for the country to stand on its own strength. 

“Our efforts to achieve food and energy self-sufficiency are the foundation of sovereignty,” President Prabowo said, as reported by antaranews.com.

He emphasized that food security is vital for the protection and survival of the people. 

“Without enough food, a nation cannot ensure the continuity of life for its citizens. There is no country, no civilization without food,” the president added.

President Prabowo also reminded the importance of safeguarding the nation’s natural resources. He stressed that national development can only succeed if all elements of the nation commit to protecting and prospering the people, with a focus on unity and responsibility.
