BPS Deputy for Production Statistics M Habibullah said that 1,335,096 visits entered through the main gate, while 170,124 visits entered through the border gate. This figure also increased by 1.61 percent monthly, and increased by 10.38 percent annually.

"Most foreign tourist visits were made by Malaysian tourists with 15.39 percent, followed by Australia 10.3 percent, and China 9.3 percent," said Habibullah on Wednesday (10/1/2025).

He continued, compared to July 2025, there was an increase in foreign tourist visits from Malaysia, while visits from Australia and China experienced a decrease. However, foreign tourist arrivals from these three countries increased compared to August 2024.

Based on main entry points, the largest number of Australian tourists entering Bali through Ngurah Rai Airport.

However, there was a monthly decline in the number of foreign tourist arrivals through Ngurah Rai Airport, driven by the end of the Australian winter school holidays and the end of holidays in China.

Regarding the domestic tourist travel data, there are 93.57 million trips recorded, a 6.62 percent decrease on a monthly basis. However, compared to August 2024, domestic tourist trips increased by 23.31 percent.

Cumulatively, from January to August 2025, the number of domestic tourist trips reached 807.55 million, a 19.71 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
