inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded a 0.63 percent increase in the national farmer exchange rate (NTP) in September 2025 compared to the previous month, from 123.57 to 124.36.
"The increase in the NTP occurred because the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) rose by 0.71 percent, higher than the increase in the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) which was 0.08 percent," said the Deputy for Production Statistics of BPS, M Habibullah on Wednesday (10/1/2025).
In a press conference for the Official Statistics News Release, Habibullah said that the commodities that predominantly influenced the increase in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) nationally included coffee, palm oil, red chilies, and rubber.
The subsector that experienced the highest increase in the NTP was smallholder plantation crops (NTPR) with an increase of 1.57 percent. This occurred because IT experienced a 1.68 percent increase, higher than the 0.11 percent increase in Ib.
The dominant commodities that influenced the increase in IT in the smallholder plantation subsector included coffee, palm oil, rubber, and cloves.
Based on the region, he said that of the 38 provinces in Indonesia, 25 provinces experienced an increase in the NTP and 13 provinces experienced a decrease.
The highest increase in September 2025 occurred in Southwest Papua Province, at 5.62 percent. Meanwhile, the largest decrease occurred in South Papua Province, at 4.93 percent.
