Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister  of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin has confirmed that Indonesia’s 7th President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo met with current President Prabowo Subianto at the latter’s private residence on Jalan Kertanegara IV, South Jakarta, on Saturday (4/10/2025).

“They met earlier before the President’s gathering with national figures,” he told antaranews.com, adding that President Prabowo also held a cordial meeting with several distinguished national figures at the same venue, which Minister Sjafrie himself attended.

According to Jokowi’s aide, Senior Inspector Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah, the meeting between the two leaders lasted about two hours, starting at 1 pm local time. 

It marked their second private meeting since July, when President Prabowo visited former president Jokowi in Surakarta  following his two-week international tour that included negotiations on the Indonesia–EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EU CEPA) and participation in the BRICS Summit in Brazil.
