In ensuring that the democratic process run smoothly and accordingly, Gorontalo Sub-regional Police dispatched their Police Woman Unit in securing the vote recapitulation process in the General Election Commission (KPU). The Police Woman Coordinating Officer of Gorontalo Regional Police, Police Assistant Superintendent Karsum Ahmad says that the deployment of police woman is part of effective strategy in strengthening security, particularly in sensitive and soft area. “We hoped with the presence of police woman, we could better provide a sense a comfort and security and ensure that the vote recapitulation process goes smoothly,” said Ahmad on Monday (2/26/2024). Furhtermore, Ahmad says that police woman involved in the security operation have gone through various preparation and training to face issues that might occur in the field. “They are also given an understanding of democratic principle, ethic codes, and manners while on duty,” he concluded.
