Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf told a press conference on Monday (15/9/2025) that about 600,000 flagged bank accounts may still be eligible for social aid once verification is completed.
“Some accounts were linked to misuse, including online gambling, but others were exploited by third parties or caught in administrative errors. That’s why we are opening a chance for data verification,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The minister stressed that the policy aims to ensure support reaches low-income families rather than cutting aid outright. Households proven to meet criteria after checks will resume receiving benefits in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The flagged accounts were identified by Indonesia’s Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK). In August, the ministry struck 228,000 accounts from the aid list, while more than 375,000 remain under review. Local administrations and Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) field officers are assisting in the audit to ensure transparency.
