inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi stated that the government has endeavored to take the best steps to address the extraordinary event (KLB) that occurred in several locations regarding the Free Nutritional Food (MBG) Program mass poisoning by coordinating across ministries/agencies.

"We have coordinated with several ministries/agencies to find the best solution to handle this KLB. This is all for the sake of our children," said the Minister of PPPA, Monday (9/29/2025).

She made this statement while attending a meeting on KLB management in the MBG priority program.

The meeting was held to ensure the implementation of the MBG program that prioritizes the fulfillment of children's basic rights to obtain clean, nutritious, and healthy food, as well as guarantees of child protection.

A number of strategic steps were taken, first, temporarily closing the Nutritional Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) that were indicated to be problematic for a thorough evaluation and investigation.

Second, conducting an evaluation of the discipline, quality, and skills of cooks in all SPPGs, not limited to the affected locations.

Third, improving sanitation processes, particularly those related to water quality and waste management, which are now monitored nationally.

The fourth step is ensuring cross-sectoral involvement, with ministries, institutions, local governments, and stakeholders involved in the MBG program being asked to actively participate in the improvement process.

Fifth, requiring every SPPG to have a Certificate of Hygiene and Sanitation (SLHS) is an absolute requirement, no longer merely an administrative requirement.

Finally, the government has asked the Minister of Health, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education to optimize the role of community health centers (Puskesmas) and School Health Units (UKS) to conduct routine and periodic monitoring of MBG in the regions.

"We are taking all steps transparently so that the public can be sure that the food served is safe and nutritious for all Indonesian children," said the Minister of PPPA.
