inp.polri.go.id - Nabire. Joint Indonesian National Military (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (INP) personnel, consisting of the Habema Task Force, the Rajawali Task Force, and the 2026 Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force, conducted law enforcement efforts against a fugitive claiming to be the Commander of Kodap III D, Dulla Aibon Kogoya, on Sunday (3/1/2026).

During the operation, a firefight broke out between officers and an armed criminal group (KKB), who then fled the headquarters they had previously controlled. Officers successfully secured control of the location and secured several pieces of important evidence.

The action was taken after officers received information regarding the group's presence at one of their hideouts. When joint personnel approached the location, the armed group resisted, resulting in a firefight. After some time, the group fled, leaving behind several pieces of equipment and logistics at their headquarters.

During a search of the location, officers seized 561 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, for both long and short-barreled weapons, as well as 10 magazines, SS1 and AK-101 firearms. In addition, 12 mobile phones, five walkie-talkies (HT), and IDR 79,900,000 in cash were also confiscated.

Another discovery that caught the attention of authorities was two mobile phones suspected of belonging to victims of previous acts of violence. One is believed to have belonged to a member of the Mobile Brigade Battalion C who died in an attack last year.

The other is believed to have belonged to a civilian employee or security officer involved in the burning of the PT Kristalin security post in Nabire several weeks ago.

The Head of the Public Relations of the 2026 Damai Cartenz Operation, Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo, emphasized that these enforcement measures represent a concrete manifestation of the state's presence in ensuring public security.

"This demonstrates the state's commitment to being present among the community when acts of violence occur. TNI and INP will not remain silent. We will continue to pursue and enforce the law against the perpetrators of armed criminal groups until they are held accountable for their actions according to the law," he asserted.
