The I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Sub-Regional Police conducted a Pre-Operation Training for securing Christmas and New Year 2024, led by Police Superintendent Ida Ayu Wikarniti, Chief of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Sub-Regional Police, on Tuesday (19/12/23). Held at the GOI Building's Class Room at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, the training aimed to enhance personnel preparedness for potential security disruptions during the festive season. "This activity will impact or increase human mobility across various modes of transportation, especially land, sea, and air transport, particularly leading up to, during, and after Christmas 2023 and the New Year 2024," she explained. Underlining the necessity for focused personnel during Christmas and New Year celebrations, she specified key locations, including places of worship, entertainment venues, tourist/recreational areas, meeting buildings, hotels, and other celebration venues. "Situations like these carry the risk of potential disturbances, threshold disturbances, and actual disturbances, such as security disruptions," she concluded. (ar/pt/pr/nm)
