INP Food Task Force Visits Market to Monitor Food Price Ahead Christmas

Inp.polri.go.id – West Java. Indonesian National Police (INP) Food Task Force, along with West Java Regional Police and Bandung Department of Trade and Industry inspects several markets in Bandung and Cimahi city. One of the markets visited by the entourage are Kosambi Market to ensure stock availability is secured ahead Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve. “Thank God the stock availability in Kosambi Market is secured and relatively balanced,” said Chief of the INP Food Task Force Senior Superintendent Eko Sulistyo Basuki on Tuesday (12/19/2023). The inspection aims to ensure that the food stock price ahead Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve would not spike. Moreover, other than Bandung City, the entourage also visited several markets in Cimahi City. Meanwhile, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation Unit of West Java Regional Police Senior Superintendent Deni Okvianto states other than monitoring the market price, Food Task Force also inspect dangerous ingredients found in food, particularly in vegetables, fruits, and meats. “Several samples were taken from the market to be checked at the mini lab in a bus. The lab results showed no dangerous substances such as pesticides in fruits and vegetables. Same goes for chicken meat and beef where we found no formalin,” reveal Deni. (ad/rd/pr/nm)
