Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police anticipates the drug flow and abuse ahead Christmas and 2024 New Year Eve holiday. One of the efforts to suppress the drug flow is by intensifying raids on night clubs as stated by Drugs Investigation Unit Director of NTB Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Deddy Supriadi.
“The intensified raid on night clubs that we carried out every week is part of our effort in suppressing drug flows and abuse,” says Deddy on Tuesday (12/19/2023).
Other than night clubs, the raid unit would also visit motels or lodgings and targets the suppliers and drug dealers.
“Well, the night clubs have always been where the drugs ended up or so we called downstream. However, we also aim to arrest the source (the dealers and suppliers) by monitoring the drug flows to the downstream,” explains Deddy.
In his closing statement, the Director of Drug Investigation Unit hopes that his party’s effort could realize a safe and secured Christmas and New Year Eve celebration situation.
