Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) imposed a temporary trading halt at 11:19:31 Jakarta Automated Trading System (JATS) time on Tuesday (18/3/2025) after the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) dropped over 5%.
It marked the first trading halt since COVID-19 pandemic.
“This trading halt was implemented today, 18 March 2025, at 11.19.31 JATS time,” said IDX Corporate Secretary Kautsar Primadi Nurahmad, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The measure follows IDX Board of Directors Decree No. Kep-00024/BEI/03-2020, issued on 10 Marc 2020, outlining emergency trading protocols.
Trading will resume at 11.49.31 JATS time without schedule adjustments.
By the first session’s close, IHSG had slumped 395.87 points (6.12%) to 6,076.08, while the LQ45 index fell 38.27 points (5.25%) to 691.08.
