inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate General of Immigration has taken action against two foreign nationals suspected of organizing the Entourage Run running community in Canggu, Bali, after the event was alleged to have discriminated against Indonesian citizens.

Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko stated in Jakarta on Friday (7/26/2026) that his office had imposed administrative immigration sanctions in the form of travel bans on the two foreign nationals for having left Indonesia.

"There can be no state within a state. This running event is a small example of state within a state," Hendarsam said.

He explained that the two foreign nationals who were subject to travel bans are currently outside of Indonesia.

"Currently, the foreign nationals in question are known to be outside of Indonesia, and Immigration has issued travel bans on them," he said.

In addition to imposing sanctions, Hendarsam ordered Bali Immigration officials to investigate the event organizers and take action against foreign nationals found to have violated immigration regulations.

"I have ordered Bali Immigration officials to investigate the event organizers. If any foreign nationals are found, they will be prosecuted immediately," he said.

According to Hendarsam, the event was organized by Entourage Bali, with two Dutch nationals identified as organizers: JAS (35), a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) holder for work, and HQV (37), an Investor ITAS holder.

Both were known to have left Indonesia on Wednesday (7/23/2026) evening on KLM Airlines, bound for Singapore via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

"We have now added both of them to the travel ban list," Hendarsam said.

He emphasized that the action was taken because the activity allegedly violated immigration regulations. Under applicable regulations, foreign nationals are not permitted to organize events in Indonesia if they do not comply with their stay permits.

This case came to light after a social media post circulated alleging that the Entourage Run running community in Canggu was restricting participants to foreign nationals only.

The post described a 23-year-old Indonesian woman who was rejected by the registration system after filling out her citizenship status as an Indonesian citizen.
