inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate will carry out various operations to prevent Sahur on The Road (SOTR) during Ramadan.

SOTR, although meant to be a positive activity, more often than not only bring public disturbances such as street brawls.

“Yes, and we will not only deploy the traffic personnel, but we will form a joint patrol team to monitor the street everyday in anticipation of SOTR. The joint team includes Traffic Unit, Criminal Investigation Unit, Intelligence, Mobile Brigade, and Community Development Unit,” says the Head of Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Ops Bureau, Police Assistant Superintendent Robby Hefados on Wednesday (2/18/2026).

Robby explains that his party has mapped the locations that are prone for SOTR and the patrol will be focused on that area.

“Obviously we have mapped the area and where the area is will be conveyed by the Operational Bureau,” says Robby.
                                                                                                                                                                                                  
Robby adds that the patrol will be conducted thoroughly as SOTR tends to move from one place to another.
