Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The government has allocated Rp 424.8 trillion for defense, law, and security in 2026 under the national total defense strategy, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati announced Saturday (16/8/2025).
“Of the total, Rp 185 trillion is for defense, primarily maintenance and replacement of aircraft and other weapon systems, as well as the addition of battalions and new regional military commands,” she said during the 2026 State Budget press briefing, as reported by antaranews.com.
Another Rp 179.4 trillion is set aside for law and order, including police, intelligence, and anti-narcotics operations, with a focus on border security, counterterrorism, anti-smuggling, and human trafficking prevention.
Meanwhile, Rp 60.4 trillion will support law enforcement and judiciary operations, from corruption and money laundering prosecutions to narcotics cases.
President Prabowo Subianto stressed that expanding Indonesia’s military units is crucial amid global geopolitical uncertainty, in line with the country’s “Sishankamrata” doctrine of total people’s defense.
