inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo is sure that the contribution and the views of Cambodian Senate President, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen can support the effort of ASEAN countries in maintaining stability and peace of the region.

This was conveyed in a bilateral meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and Senate President Hun Sen during his official visit to the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (5/5/2025).

"I am sure that His Majesty's views will enrich our joint efforts to maintain peace, stability, and shared prosperity in the Southeast Asia region," Prabowo said in the meeting, quoted by Antaranews.

In his introductory remarks, President Prabowo expressed his respect for the presence of the President of the Royal Cambodian Senate in the country.

President Prabowo expressed his high appreciation for Senate President Hun Sen's strategic role in the Southeast Asia region.

Prabowo welcomed the plan to deliver Senate President Hun Sen's views on the peace process in Cambodia and the role in Southeast Asia at an academic and regional forum in Jakarta.

Senate President Hun Sen is scheduled to attend a series of ERIA Leadership Lecture activities in Jakarta, Tuesday (6/5).

"I am pleased and welcome His Majesty's plan to deliver various views on the peace process in Cambodia and the role in ASEAN which will be delivered at the ERIA School of Government and at the ASEAN Secretariat," said the President.

In the context of Indonesia's history and commitment to regional peace, President Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia continues to uphold the principles of dialogue and reconciliation.
