Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia aims to win 120 gold medals at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games in Thailand, Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir announced on Monday (10/11/2025) following a meeting with the National Paralympic Committee of Indonesia (NPC Indonesia).
“The target is 120 gold medals,” he said, noting the target would secure Indonesia the second position overall, adding that the goal is realistic since host nation Thailand is expected to dominate with a projected 174 golds.
Chef de Mission Reda Manthovani said preparations are underway with a three-month national training camp running from October to December. A total of 306 athletes will compete in 18 sports, according to antaranews.com.
Indonesia previously topped the medal standings at the 2022 ASEAN Para Games on home soil with 175 golds, and again in Cambodia in 2023 with 159 golds.
