Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia emerged as the overall champion of the 14th ASEAN School Games (ASG) 2025 in Brunei Darussalam, which concluded on Friday night (28/11/2025).
The national contingent won 93 medals, comprising 42 gold, 30 silver, and 20 bronze, across seven sports.
“I am pleased with this achievement. Previously we finished second, but this year we succeeded in becoming the overall champion,” said Indonesia’s Chef de Mission Aziz Ariyanto in a statement on Saturday (29/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
Swimming contributed the largest haul with 22 gold medals, followed by pencak silat (11 gold), badminton (five), athletics (three), and wushu (one). Three Indonesian U-18 athletes also broke national records during the athletics events held at Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
Indonesia topped the final medal standings ahead of Thailand, which won 20 golds.
