Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Indonesia has called for an immediate halt to Israeli aggression in the Middle East and reaffirmed its longstanding support for Palestinian independence.

“Indonesia expresses its solidarity with Qatar and reiterates its commitment to peace in the Middle East, including firm support for Palestinian statehood,” Foreign Minister Sugiono posted on X Monday (15/9/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The minister, representing President Prabowo Subianto, arrived in Doha to attend an emergency summit of Arab and Islamic states. The meeting focused on drafting a resolution in response to recent Israeli attacks across the region, including the strike on Doha on 9 September 2025.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Indonesia will continue to prioritize global peace and uphold international law. Officials framed Indonesia’s participation as consistent with its constitutional mandate to contribute to world order under the 1945 Constitution.

Indonesia has been one of the strongest voices in Southeast Asia calling for Palestinian sovereignty.
