Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian government has expressed deep concern following missile and drone attacks targeting oil refinery facilities in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In an official statement released Wednesday (6/5/2026), Indonesia urged all conflicting parties in the Middle East to exercise maximum restraint and prioritize de-escalation to prevent a wider regional crisis.
"Indonesia urges all parties to exercise restraint, respect full ceasefire agreements, and uphold international law, including the protection of civilian infrastructure," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said via social media, as reported by antaranews.com.
The ministry warned that such attacks threaten global energy security and risk disrupting international supply chains.
The incident occurred on Monday, when a major fire broke out at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, a critical energy hub on the UAE's eastern coast. Local authorities reported that three Indian nationals were injured in the strike. While reports suggested the drones may have originated from Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has officially denied involvement, labeling the accusations as "baseless."
