Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia has maintained its position on the Tokyo MoU White List for five consecutive years, according to the 2024 Port State Control (PSC) Asia-Pacific report, the Ministry of Transportation announced Sunday (4/5/2025).
“It reflects international recognition of the performance of Indonesian-flagged vessels,” said Director General of Sea Transportation Antoni Arif Priadi, as quoted by antaranews.com.
In the past three years, 748 Indonesian ships were inspected, with only 32 detentions—well below the 40-vessel threshold. In 2024 alone, only nine Indonesian vessels were detained out of 234 inspections, down from 13 in 2023 and 10 in 2022.
Antoni emphasized that this progress strengthens global trust in Indonesia's maritime safety and boosts competitiveness. He added that ships preparing for international voyages are now required to undergo thorough inspections by ship safety officials and surveyors before receiving sailing approval.
