Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas responded to the Indonesian Army’s recent directive ordering troops to support security at high and district prosecutors’ offices nationwide.

“The synergy between the Indonesian Military and INP is getting stronger,” Chief Sigit said on Wednesday (14/5/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Echoing the INP Chief, Minister Supratman emphasized that the duties and authority related to security matters are clearly regulated, and coordination among agencies remains key. He noted that the Ministry of Law was not involved in the operational decision but would engage relevant parties.

“We’re not directly involved in the implementation, but we will coordinate with stakeholders, as this doesn’t fall under the Ministry’s main functions,” he explained.

The comments follow a 6 May 2025 telegram from Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak ordering troops to assist in safeguarding prosecution offices across Indonesia.
