inp.polri.go.id - East Flores. The Indonesian National Police (INP) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo sends aid to the refugees of Lewotobi Mountain Eruption. The aid was stored in Kobasoma Village Refugee Post, Titehena District, East Flores Regency. The handover of aid took place on Thursday afternoon, at 16.00 pm.
The handover of the aid was represented by the Head of Logistics Unit of East Flores Sub-regional Police, Police Senior Inspector Laurensius Sabon Daton, to the Logistics Coordinator of the Post, Dedi Gediona.
"The assistance provided includes blankets, clothes, towels, school supplies, baby diapers, sports equipment, and milk, which are greatly needed by the refugees, especially children and the elderly," said Daton.
This assistance is expected to ease the burden of the evacuees and meet their basic needs. The INP Chief’s support for the community affected by the eruption shows the police's concern and commitment in helping the community in the midst of an emergency situation.
The evacuees expressed their gratitude for the assistance they received, which was very meaningful in helping them get through the difficult times due to the impact of the eruption.
