Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and the Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto praised the public enthusiasm and smooth execution of the 80th Independence Day ceremony at the Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta on Sunday. 

The event, led by President Prabowo Subianto, drew thousands of citizens who witnessed the flag-raising and air show.

“Seeing the people celebrating together at this 80th Independence anniversary is truly positive and reflects the spirit of unity,” Chief Sigit Prabowo said ion Monday (18/8.2025), as quoted by antaranews.com. 

He also stressed the importance of police–military collaboration in ensuring a peaceful celebration and supporting Indonesia’s long-term development goals.

Commander Agus highlighted the performance of the flag-hoisting team and the joint Air Force and Police aerial demonstration. 

“From the flag-raising to the air show, everything was excellent, showing professionalism,” he said. 

Both leaders praised citizens’ strong presence at the Palace, reflecting national pride.
